SUMMARY:Murals & Music Festival | C5 presents:  Exit Through the Gift Shop | FREE | Saturday | September 19th 2026
DESCRIPTION:Exit Through the Gift Shop is a 2010 British documentary film directed by street artist Banksy. It tells the story of Thierry Guetta\, a French immigrant in Los Angeles who\, over several years\, filmed a host of street artists at work\, including Shepard Fairey and Banksy\, but failed to do anything with the footage. Eventually\, Banksy decided to use the footage to make a documentary\, which includes new footage depicting Guetta’s rise to fame as the artist “Mr. Brainwash”. In addition to narration read by Rhys Ifans\, the story is largely related by Banksy himself\, whose face is obscured and voice altered to preserve his anonymity. Geoff Barrow composed the film’s score\, and Richard Hawley’s “Tonight The Streets Are Ours” plays during the opening and closing credits. The film premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival on 24 January 2010\, and was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 83rd Academy Awards. \nSince its release\, there has been extensive debate over whether the film is a genuine documentary or a mockumentary. When asked if the film was real\, Banksy simply replied\, “Yes.”

Kingman pulls no punches with his writing\, and requires us to listen with the same honesty. \nAbout Stoneteeth:\nMike Clark is a singer songwriter from Colorado and Cole Halvorsen is an audio engineer and musician from Nevada. DESCRIPTION:Buy Tickets! \nTrick is a 1999 American gay-themed romantic comedy film directed by Jim Fall and starring Christian Campbell\, John Paul Pitoc\, Miss Coco Peru\, and Tori Spelling. Independently produced by Eric d’Arbeloff\, Ross Katz\, and Fall\, the film was written by Jason Schafer. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 1999 and was later released theatrically by Fine Line Features that July. The film grossed $2 million at the United States box office\, which was seen by Fine Line Features as “credible business”. \nSince its release\, the film has been considered a gay cult classic. It was later adapted as a stage musical\, titled Trick! The Musical\, in 2025\, with book and lyrics by Schafer and music by Arthur LaFrentz Bacon.

Seating will open at 6:30 with music beginning at 7pm. \nBecome a member of the Brewery Arts Center and save $5 on your ticket! Join Today! \nIn the music of Charlie Parr\, there is a sincere conviction and earnest drive to create. The Minnesota-born guitarist\, songwriter\, and interpreter of traditional music has released 19 albums over two decades and has been known to perform up to 275 shows a year. Parr is a folk troubadour in the truest sense: taking to the road between shows\, writing and rewriting songs as he plays\, fueled by a belief that music is eternal and cannot be claimed or adequately explained. The bluesman poet pulls closely from the sights and sounds around him\, his lyrical craftsmanship built by his influences. The sounds from his working-class upbringing—including Folkways legends such as Lead Belly and Woody Guthrie—imbue Parr’s music with stylistic echoes of blues and folk icons of decades past. Parr sees himself merely as a continuer of a folk tradition: “I feel like I stand on a lot of big shoulders\,” he said in an interview. “I hope that I’ve brought a little bit of myself to the music.”

The Nevada Appeal and KUNR are the media co-sponsors.  This is the sixth forum of the eleventh season of free community forums on topics of current interest. \nThe forum will be moderated by Lucia Starbuck of KUNR Public Radio. DESCRIPTION:Join Travis Brass – the six member brass ensemble from the Air Force Band of Band of the Golden West for an exciting evening of brass chamber music! The group performs lively original music for brass\, orchestral and video game arrangements\, as well as patriotic classics. \nThe concert will be roughly an hour long\, with an opportunity to meet the members immediately following. \nTravis Brass is the resident brass ensemble of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West\, comprised of two trumpets\, horn\, trombone\, tuba\, and percussion. One of the Band of the Golden West’s most versatile groups\,Travis Brass enjoys presenting performances every year at community recitals\, educational and recruitment outreach\, anthems at professional sporting events\, and outdoor military ceremonies. As studios and storytellers pushed back against polished fairy tales\, characters like Bugs Bunny emerged—witty\, irreverent\, and defiantly different—forever changing the tone and possibilities of animation. \nWe’ll kick things off with Looney Tunes: A Wild Hare (1940)\, the cartoon that officially introduced Bugs Bunny and defined Warner Bros.’ fast\, anarchic style as a direct counterpoint to Disney’s approach. DESCRIPTION:Loud As Folk began as a monthly songwriters showcase based out of Reno\, NV in 2011 and has since grown into a touring revue\, a recording studio\, a radio hour\, and a creative movement. The series has featured an eclectic mix of punk-gone-folk performers\, underground legends\, and fiercely original voices. \nTickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Join Today!\n\n\nWilly Tea Taylor –\nThere is no question that Willy Tea Taylor’s life as a singer/songwriter was predetermined – his role realized the moment he wrote his first song. His inspirations are drawn from two separate wells; Living the life of a cattleman’s kid and experiencing true visionaries music like Greg Brown\, John Hartford\, and Guy Clark. The image of Guy Clark and friends sitting around the kitchen table loaded with ashtrays full of butts\, half-smoked cigarettes\, food\, and booze on one Christmas Eve in 1975 burned into Taylor’s soul. Those guys\, swapping songs without pretense\, lit Willy Tea’s fire. And ever since\, its led purpose with passion – finding a hang by curating relationships through musical friendships that get him closer to his own Clark style kitchen table.\n\n\nThe Sam Chase –\nIf one could apply a needle to the flat disc of time and render a sound from its infinite grooves\, the celestial tones of past\, present and future would be the songs of The Sam Chase.  It doesn’t matter where they are from\, where they’ve been or where they may yet go.  All that matters is where you will be when they show how to make time stand still.
