DESCRIPTION:With instructor Lee Netzle | Tuesdays @ 3:30 | Sept 10 – Oct 15 2024\n\nStudents start with drawing. The first step is choosing from a variety of reference pictures. They learn to study the picture they have chosen\, determining the size of the drawing\, the shapes involved\, and the placement of one part to another.\n\nThey then go on to paint their drawing. The students will work with three different paint mediums; water color\, acrylic and pastel. They will learn the application process of each medium along with the mixing\, lightening\, and darkening of the colors.\n\nStudents will follow instructions and be given freedom to express their individuality\, which always leads to exciting and interesting results.

DESCRIPTION:A living history presentation\, “The Reno Cure.” Reno has long been known as “The Biggest Little City in the World.” But it wasn’t just the introduction of legalized gambling in 1931 that brought the town its fame. For the first half of the 20th century\, hundreds of thousands of people came to the Truckee River town\, to get a “quickie” dissolution to their marriage and left a legacy of culture and sophistication.  Local historians David & Gayle Woodruff assume the Divorce Ranch characters of Clive and Vivian Sterling\, as they recount the unique\, interesting\, and often amusing history of the Reno divorce industry and the important role it played in creating one of the country’s most cosmopolitan cities.

Lance grew up playing in a rock band on the Texas club scene.  The two met randomly in Nashville\, TN and after their first songwriting session together\, formed a duo. Marked by old school country/rock influences with Texas blues guitar\, storytelling lyrics\, and soothing harmonies\, their collaborative genius is on fire with over 500 songs written.
