It’s All About You!
We have done beginning, intermediate and advanced, now it’s time to do your own thing in clay. Come prepared to create something of your own design with the assistance of instructor Debbie Corona, MFA. If you didn’t join any of these classes, that’s fine but you will need to have some ceramics or clay experience. If you’re just wanting to make something but don’t know what, we have that handled. There will be a variety of projects available to choose from. Either way, you’ll have your hands in clay.
Here’s the schedule:
All classes will be Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 9:30
June 3rd, 10th and 17th will be all about building
June 24th – Drying time and NO CLASS
July 1st – Glazing your creations
July 8th – Impromptu Critique and picking your work up
Class Cost $150 plus a $20 lab fee due on the first day of class.
Please come prepared on June 3rd with your idea and an image of it for reference. Again, if you aren’t sure what you want to make there will be options.

Calling all filmmakers! Compete for a chance to showcase your 5-9 minute sci-fi short film at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City, NV, on Saturday, June 6th. The competition kicks off on Wednesday, May 13th, and you’ll have just 2 weeks to create your film with prompts provided at the start.
Ticket Prices:
  • $15.00 for the 2:00 PM screening
  • $20.00 for the 7:00 PM screening
  • $25.00 for both screenings
Team Registration:
  • $25.00 per team to enter the competition (must submit by Wednesday, May 27th at noon)

Trick is a 1999 American gay-themed romantic comedy film directed by Jim Fall and starring Christian Campbell, John Paul Pitoc, Miss Coco Peru, and Tori Spelling. Independently produced by Eric d’Arbeloff, Ross Katz, and Fall, the film was written by Jason Schafer. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 1999 and was later released theatrically by Fine Line Features that July. The film grossed $2 million at the United States box office, which was seen by Fine Line Features as “credible business”.

Since its release, the film has been considered a gay cult classic. It was later adapted as a stage musical, titled Trick! The Musical, in 2025, with book and lyrics by Schafer and music by Arthur LaFrentz Bacon.
