DESCRIPTION:In this melodramatic mystery\, Novelist Magee has made a bet that they can write a ten-thousand-word story in just 24 hours with the owner of Baldpate Inn. (A lonely summer resort atop a mountain in the dead of winter.) To accomplish this task\, Magee retires to Baldpate to be alone. Given the ONLY key to Baldpate from the local caretakers Magee locks themselves into the resort\, not to be disturbed by anyone. Throughout the night they are visited by a succession of mysterious characters\, including a corrupt politician\, a ghost\, a feisty reporter\, a police chief and a gang of criminals.
