SUMMARY:Loud As Folk presents: Charlie Parr | Friday | April 3rd 2026
DESCRIPTION:Loud As Folk began as a monthly songwriters showcase based out of Reno\, NV in 2011 and has since grown into a touring revue\, a recording studio\, a radio hour\, and a creative movement. The series has featured an eclectic mix of punk-gone-folk performers\, underground legends\, and fiercely original voices. \nTickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Seating will open at 6:30 with music beginning at 7pm. \nBecome a member of the Brewery Arts Center and save $5 on your ticket! Join Today! \nIn the music of Charlie Parr\, there is a sincere conviction and earnest drive to create. The Minnesota-born guitarist\, songwriter\, and interpreter of traditional music has released 19 albums over two decades and has been known to perform up to 275 shows a year. Parr is a folk troubadour in the truest sense: taking to the road between shows\, writing and rewriting songs as he plays\, fueled by a belief that music is eternal and cannot be claimed or adequately explained. The bluesman poet pulls closely from the sights and sounds around him\, his lyrical craftsmanship built by his influences. The sounds from his working-class upbringing—including Folkways legends such as Lead Belly and Woody Guthrie—imbue Parr’s music with stylistic echoes of blues and folk icons of decades past. Parr sees himself merely as a continuer of a folk tradition: “I feel like I stand on a lot of big shoulders\,” he said in an interview. “I hope that I’ve brought a little bit of myself to the music.”

All ages.  \nBecome a member of the Brewery Arts Center and save $5 on your ticket! Join Today! \nJoey Cape is one of the defining voices in punk rock’s most beloved generation. Since forming Lagwagon in 1989\, “the Caper” and his band have released 9 LPs\, 4 EPs\, a live album\, and a compilation of previously unreleased material all while playing thousands of shows across the globe. This remarkable amount of accomplishments is just a fraction of Joey’s expansive career\, which also includes lending his musical talents to Bad Astronaut and Me First And The Gimmie Gimmies. If all of that wasn’t enough\, the ever prolific Cape has released 6 solo albums since 2008 along with a slew of splits and singles. In addition to his own music\, Joey has featured an impressive lists of rising punk gone folk artists by inviting them to record 10 songs in 7 days at his personal studio and releasing them on his label One Week Records. \nOpening the show is Seth Anderson\, a singer-songwriter whose music blends indie rock\, folk\, and the spirit of punk into honest\, heart-driven storytelling. Born and raised in Hartland\, New Brunswick\, and now based in Canmore\, Alberta\, Seth draws from years on the road—across towns\, cities\, and continents—to write songs rooted in love\, loss\, resilience\, and hope. With a delivery that’s both vulnerable and fierce\, his sound has been compared to Steve Earle\, AA Bondy\, Frank Turner\, and the Weakerthans. Seth’s live shows are known for their emotional intensity and raw authenticity\, earning him a dedicated following throughout Canada\, the U.S.\, and Europe. \nPurchase your tickets here!

DESCRIPTION:Loud As Folk began as a monthly songwriters showcase based out of Reno\, NV in 2011 and has since grown into a touring revue\, a recording studio\, a radio hour\, and a creative movement. Join Today!\n\n\nWilly Tea Taylor –\nThere is no question that Willy Tea Taylor’s life as a singer/songwriter was predetermined – his role realized the moment he wrote his first song. His inspirations are drawn from two separate wells; Living the life of a cattleman’s kid and experiencing true visionaries music like Greg Brown\, John Hartford\, and Guy Clark. The image of Guy Clark and friends sitting around the kitchen table loaded with ashtrays full of butts\, half-smoked cigarettes\, food\, and booze on one Christmas Eve in 1975 burned into Taylor’s soul. Those guys\, swapping songs without pretense\, lit Willy Tea’s fire. And ever since\, its led purpose with passion – finding a hang by curating relationships through musical friendships that get him closer to his own Clark style kitchen table.\n\n\nThe Sam Chase –\nIf one could apply a needle to the flat disc of time and render a sound from its infinite grooves\, the celestial tones of past\, present and future would be the songs of The Sam Chase.  It doesn’t matter where they are from\, where they’ve been or where they may yet go.  All that matters is where you will be when they show how to make time stand still.

SUMMARY:Loud As Folk presents: Leroy Virgil with Opener Jade Brodie | Saturday | December 20th 2025
DESCRIPTION:Loud As Folk began as a monthly songwriters showcase based out of Reno\, NV in 2011 and has since grown into a touring revue\, a recording studio\, a radio hour\, and a creative movement.\nTickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Seating will open at 6:30 with music beginning at 7pm.\n\nBecome a member of the Brewery Arts Center and save $5 on your ticket! Join Today!\n\nLeroy Virgil has been playing music that is honest and raw since 2004. There is none of the modern pop slickness that passes for country these days. Virgil’s music is as real as the grime and grit on old abandoned buildings in small towns like Reno NV\, Butte MT\, Aberdeen WA\, and Woodland CA. “Basically I set out to write simple country songs in a simple language about my life and the lives of my scumbag friends and that is something you can’t get away with anymore in Nashville” says Leroy Virgil.\nVirgil’s band Hellbound Glory has clocked thousands of mile on the road playing dive bars and honky tonks across the country and abroad. The humor inherent in Leroy’s life on the edge mindset shines through the bleakness with passionate full-throttle delivery. His rowdy style meshes the best of country’s past with the freewheeling abandon of the present day.\n\nJade Brodie is a Railroading songstress from northern Nevada. Drawing inspiration from the Blue Collar Hero and the away-frome-home lifestyle of the railroad. She writes her songs with a heavy train beat\, strong will\, and simple poetry.

SUMMARY:Mark Twain Days | Tin Drum Family Band | Nashville Social Club | Friday | October 17th 2025
DESCRIPTION:From international tours and Grammy nominations to a surprise lockdown in their family home — the Tin Drum Family Band was born out of a moment no one saw coming. When Covid struck\, music legends Burleigh Sr.\, Mary Harris\, and their children Sierra and Burleigh Jr. unexpectedly found themselves under one roof for over two years. What started as a family wedding turned into the creation of something profound: a band\, an album\, and a legacy. \nOut of love\, loss\, and deep connection came “Emerson Street” — an album filled with heart\, harmony\, and healing\, named after the home that held it all together. ❤️🏡🎶 \n🌟 Meet the Band: 🌟 \n🪘 Burleigh Drummond Sr.A founding member of Ambrosia (5 Grammy noms\, 5 Top Ten singles)\, Burleigh has toured\, recorded\, and produced with artists like Alan Parsons\, Michael McDonald\, Edgar Winter\, Al Stewart\, Firefall\, Player\, and more. He’s a master drummer\, composer\, and engineer — but his favorite gig? Playing with his wife\, daughter\, and son in Tin Drum Family Band. 🥁🎤 \n🎹 Mary HarrisA powerhouse vocalist\, arranger\, and keyboardist\, Mary has lent her talents to Pink Floyd\, Jimmy Buffett\, Carole King\, Michael McDonald\, Animal Logic (with Stewart Copeland and Stanley Clarke)\, and many more. As co-creator of Tin Drum (with three albums under their belt)\, she’s also helped shape generations of young musicians — including her own kids. 💫🎹 \n🎙️ Sierra R. DrummondSinger-songwriter\, multi-instrumentalist\, and lyrical soul. With influences like Tracy Chapman\, Bonnie Raitt\, Lauryn Hill\, and her own musical parents\, Sierra blends indie folk\, R&B\, and blues into an authentic\, emotional sound. After a long recovery from a vocal injury\, she’s back — and her voice has never been stronger. 🧡🎸🎤 \n🌍 Burleigh M. Drummond Jr.A globally inspired drummer\, multi-instrumentalist\, and producer\, Burleigh Jr. brings rhythm from around the world — India\, Africa\, Latin America — to the front porch of American roots music. He’s toured\, recorded\, and studied extensively\, but his most meaningful work comes from collaborating with his family and sharing music that connects us all. 🥁🌎🎶 \nAlso featuring musical guests David Harris\, John Wood\, Marc Bonilla\, and Devon Geyer\, the Tin Drum Family Band is more than a band — it’s a living\, breathing\, musical memoir. \n🎤 Come experience the joy\, the heartbreak\, and the magic of Emerson Street — live! \n✨ A night of original music\, rich harmonies\, and deep family roots. SUMMARY:John Elliott | Spike McGuire | Friday | November 8th 2024
DESCRIPTION:Brewery Arts Center and For The Song present an intimate evening of acoustic songwriters featuring John Elliott and Spike McGuire.\n\nJohn Elliott is a mix between Steve Poltz and John Fulbright\, and sort of looks like Jeff Tweedy’s younger brother. He lives in San Francisco\, but Austin and the Kerrville scene are second homes. He hails from the Twin Cities\, growing up on Orange Julius\, the Metrodome\, and Kirby Puckett. “Elliott’s songs will take you on an emotional roller coaster. He brilliantly describes the raw realities of his unique perspectives of life. The passion behind his voice and his words makes you feel as if you are a character in his story. John Elliott’s songs appeared on the television shows ‘Grey’s Anatomy\,’ ‘One-Tree Hill’ and ‘Californication.’ Humor is just part of John’s nature\, it is in no way a coping method of dealing with the downsides of being a musician. Sharing your creation with the world comes with the territory….” – Austin Chronicle\n\nSpike McGuire is an internationally touring musician that has performed in 16 states and 5 countries as
well as a GraphTech Guitar Labs endorsed. He is known for his work as founder of Loud As Folk. On the rich spectrum of folk music McGuire resides decidedly closer to Pete Seger than Peter\, Paul\, and Mary and has spent the last decade and a half drawing
parallels between the ethos of punk rock and the spirit of folk music by building community and engaging
listeners with his message. The lessons McGuire learned on the road now serve him well in his
position of Executive Director at Brewery Arts Center in Carson City\, NV.\n\nBecome a member of the Brewery Arts Center and save $5 on your ticket!\nJOIN HERE!\n\n$15 Members | $20 Advance | $25 At The Door
