DESCRIPTION:Loud As Folk began as a monthly songwriters showcase based out of Reno\, NV in 2011 and has since grown into a touring revue\, a recording studio\, a radio hour\, and a creative movement. The series has featured an eclectic mix of punk-gone-folk performers\, underground legends\, and fiercely original voices. This edition features Vic Ruggiero & Lauren Napier. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Seating will open at 6:30 with music beginning at 7pm. \nBecome a member of the Brewery Arts Center and save $5 on your ticket! JOIN HERE! \nVic Ruggiero is a musician\, songwriter\, and producer from New York City who has played in reggae\, blues\, ska and rocksteady bands since the early 1990s. Most notably\, Vic has fronted The Slackers for over 30 years. The Slackers’ many accomplishments include hitting Number 1 on the Billboard reggae charts in 2022. He has also performed with punk rock band Rancid\, both live and in the studio. He has released four solo acoustic albums and continues to tour and record worldwide.  \nLauren Napier finds solace in the written word\, inspiration in the frequencies of her favorite music\, and creative tranquility in being able to have her visions captured on film. Never really having roots in one geographic location\, Lauren has tailored her many creative interests to suit her ever-changing address. Writer. Singer. Cellist. Model. Painter. These are labels that can be indulged whilst traveling.
