DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a casual atmosphere\, original dance\, live music\, and a beer and a brat to boot! \n\nSierra Nevada Ballet partners with the Brewery Arts Center and the Reno Little Theater to produce an exciting program that has become a signature SNB annual tradition. Brew\, Brats and Ballet – A Celebration of New Choreography features brand new short choreographic works by local and out of state artists. Brew\, Brats and Ballet offers audiences a chance to purchase some local brews and sausages from Hot Rods Catering (*not included in ticket price) while enjoying new eclectic choreographic offerings from eight different choreographers. \nAudience members will have the opportunity of hearing (first hand and-up close and personal) from each choreographer about their creative process and then be entertained by the dancers of Sierra Nevada Ballet as they perform each new choreographic work. The program will finish up with a relaxed informal question and answer discussion interaction between choreographers and audience members.

DESCRIPTION:Join Nevada Dance Company for Elevated Expressions as our spring performances return for a third year. Nevada Dance Company’s Artistic Directors\, Erica Adams (Festival Ballet Providence\, Smuin Ballet) and Oliver Adams (Birmingham Royal Ballet UK\, Slovak National Ballet\, Smuin Ballet) will be sharing the stage with fellow professional dancers Alexander Biber (Sacramento Ballet)\, Kelsey Gerber (Brockus: RED\, Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre\, AXIS Dance Company)\, Gretchen LaWall (River North Dance Chicago\, Garrett+Moulton Productions)\, Victor Maguad (Ballet Philippines\, Les Ballet Eloelle/Grandiva\, Sacramento Ballet)\, Isabella Velasquez (Sacramento Ballet) in Artistry in Motion as well as 13 talented dancers from the Nevada Dance Company’s Pre Professional Company.\n\n\nNVDC’s Professional and Pre Professional dancers will be presenting Classical and Contemporary Ballet works including the magical Sleeping Beauty’s Wedding (Petipa)\, Gibberish (Adams)\, world premiere of Minimal Stories (Adams) and Theory of Light (Biber) .\n\n\n\nBrewery Arts Center\, Carson City\, NV\nSaturday\, March 29th 2025 – 6pm\n\n\n\nIn 2022\, Erica and Oliver Adams made a bold decision to create a Pre-Professional Company to nurture and develop the next generation of world-class dancers. Launched in September 2022\, the Pre-Professional Company is now home to 13 dedicated\, advanced-level dancers who meet weekly to learn\, rehearse\, and perform. These talented young dancers are working hard toward careers in professional dance and have already earned scholarships to some of the country’s top vocational dance schools and universities.\nThis year\, all 13 dancers will represent Nevada Dance Company at the prestigious Regional Dance America Festival in Mountain View\, where they will perform for some of the most renowned names in classical ballet.
