DESCRIPTION:Create your own masterpieces in this open-ended art experience. If you’ve ever dreamed of working on an artistic project—whether it’s painting\, graphite\, pen and ink\, or even incorporating two- and three-dimensional textures or objects into your work of art—this is the workshop for you. This is a series of 4 workshops to give you the time and space to create your vision.\n\nOver the course of the past nearly 30 years\, Dana Childs has guided\, taught\, and facilitated courses and workshops that have helped produce professional artists as well as encouraged hobbyists to have the time of their lives and enjoy feeling successful. You can free the artist within you with as much or as little influence from outside as you desire. Weekly demonstrations serve to introduce or review basic art and design concepts\, as well as experimental strategies. You can either follow along or continue to work on your own project during the demonstrations. Most of the time will be dedicated to individual time to work on your own projects\, while Childs is there to offer assistance as needed.\n\nAbout the Artist\n\n“Variety is the spice of life!” declares the educationally eclectic Childs.  She has been driven by an inexhaustible desire to learn\, and then to pass on that which she learns to others.  “One of my greatest passions in life is to either keep the flame of our innate love for learning alive\, or to reignite this flame in the hearts of those whose flames have dwindled\, or been completely dowsed\,” says Childs.  Whatever the subject matter\, she remains enthusiastic about sharing information & helping others build skills that will serve them and others well. \nWith 20+ years experience teaching watercolor as well as graphite and acrylic mediums\, Childs brings an in-depth understanding of how to connect with her students and pass on skills that empower her students to create to their hearts desire\, with amazing results.  “My job\, if I do it well\, is to work myself out of a job\,” she says. \nDo you have questions? DESCRIPTION:Register Here! \nLearn and practice the great mystery of watercolor flow and the wonder that the Iris embodies in this watercolor class.  It’s a journey to learn and master watercolor\, but this lesson truly gifts you with learning to balance the water and the paint. Learning to save your whites and master application of a variety of values that this lesson requires will translate into your other art work\, regardless of the medium. \nDana Childs seeks to inspire painters as well as inform and encourage them.  She works to gently encourage them\, while offering constructive suggestions based upon solid technique and artistic concepts.  Childs loose and interpretive style is infectious and will spark the artist within you.  She has developed a strong sense for reading her students after 28+ years of teaching watercolor painting and other forms of media. \n$39 – supply fee $8 paid to instructor

DESCRIPTION:Register Here!\n\nCreate your own masterpieces in this open-ended art experience. If you’ve ever dreamed of working on an artistic project—whether it’s painting\, graphite\, pen and ink\, or even incorporating two- and three-dimensional textures or objects into your work of art—this is the workshop for you. This is a series of 4 workshops to give you the time and space to create your vision.\n\nOver the course of the past nearly 30 years\, Dana Childs has guided\, taught\, and facilitated courses and workshops that have helped produce professional artists as well as encouraged hobbyists to have the time of their lives and enjoy feeling successful. You can free the artist within you with as much or as little influence from outside as you desire. Weekly demonstrations serve to introduce or review basic art and design concepts\, as well as experimental strategies. You can either follow along or continue to work on your own project during the demonstrations. Most of the time will be dedicated to individual time to work on your own projects\, while Childs is there to offer assistance as needed.\n\nAbout the Artist\n\n“Variety is the spice of life!” declares the educationally eclectic Childs.  She has been driven by an inexhaustible desire to learn\, and then to pass on that which she learns to others.  “One of my greatest passions in life is to either keep the flame of our innate love for learning alive\, or to reignite this flame in the hearts of those whose flames have dwindled\, or been completely dowsed\,” says Childs.  Whatever the subject matter\, she remains enthusiastic about sharing information & helping others build skills that will serve them and others well. \nWith 20+ years experience teaching watercolor as well as graphite and acrylic mediums\, Childs brings an in-depth understanding of how to connect with her students and pass on skills that empower her students to create to their hearts desire\, with amazing results.  “My job\, if I do it well\, is to work myself out of a job\,” she says. \nDo you have questions? DESCRIPTION:Register Here!\n\nIt’s All About You!\nWe have done beginning\, intermediate and advanced\, now it’s time to do your own thing in clay. Come prepared to create something of your own design with the assistance of instructor Debbie Corona\, MFA. If you didn’t join any of these classes\, that’s fine but you will need to have some ceramics or clay experience. If you’re just wanting to make something but don’t know what\, we have that handled. There will be a variety of projects available to choose from. Either way\, you’ll have your hands in clay.\n\nHere’s the schedule:\n\nAll classes will be Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 9:30\nJune 3rd\, 10th and 17th will be all about building\nJune 24th – Drying time and NO CLASS\nJuly 1st – Glazing your creations\nJuly 8th – Impromptu Critique and picking your work up\n\nClass Cost $150 plus a $20 lab fee due on the first day of class.\n\nPlease come prepared on June 3rd with your idea and an image of it for reference.
