Students start with drawing. The first step is choosing from a variety of reference pictures. They learn to study the picture they have chosen, determining the size of the drawing, the shapes involved, and the placement of one part to another.
They then go on to paint their drawing. The students will work with three different paint mediums; water color, acrylic and pastel. They will learn the application process of each medium along with the mixing, lightening, and darkening of the colors.
Students will follow instructions and be given freedom to express their individuality, which always leads to exciting and interesting results.
