Join pottery artist, Kym Maehl, in this fabulous & creative class!

In this class, we’ll begin by  making a clay pinch pot cup or bowl.  We’ll then get creative with underglaze and sgraffito.

Sgraffito is a decorating technique in which a coat of a colored slip or underglaze is painted onto a your vessel, after which designs are carved into the surface in order to reveal the contrasting color of the clay.  The example provided is only one possilbity.  Your imagination will make it your own.  I will be putting a clear glaze on them after they’re bisque fired so that they are ready to use when you pick them up.

This is a great class for all levels of experience.
