“My Road to Terminus Collection embodies the endless journey of arrivals and departures—an ongoing loop of radical acceptance that shapes my life and work. Inspired initially by the idea of terminus as a railroad’s last stop, and further colored by pop culture references such as “The Walking Dead,” I explore notions of sanctuary, survival, and the search for community in an apocalyptic world. Through paintings, prints, and sculptures, I equate terminus to the end of days, revealing that the journey is never truly finished. This sense of perpetual motion infuses my exploration of interconnectedness among people, places, and bodies. I draw on my Nevada upbringing for visual language—vibrant colors, layered patterns, and symbolic references that mark both home and emotional landscape.
Living with multiple sclerosis has further deepened my understanding of acceptance and transformation. The Road to Terminus is not only a concept in my work but a reflection of my personal journey through vulnerability, pain, and hope. Each piece examines desire, stereotypes, and identity, engaging viewers in a dialogue about belonging and the beauty found within our shared struggles and triumphs. Ultimately, my art seeks to inspire connection and radical acceptance, inviting others to find the sanctuary and relationships they most desire—even when the path is treacherous.”
