Nevada Artists Association

The Brewery Arts Center is home to several wonderful Fine Arts Programs including Painting, Pottery and our resident Nevada Artist Association.

The NAA is a showcase for Nevada artists. It opened it’s doors in 1979 and is now a destination for Nevada art patrons as well as tourists. It is also included in Carson City’s famous historic tours.

The gallery provides an attractive space for artists to display their works, including sculpture, photography, framed and unframed paintings as well as jewelry and crafts.

The gallery is staffed by friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers. It is open from 10am to 4pm Monday through Saturday.

MINIATURE SHOW

 

The Nevada Artists Assoc. will present it’s 1st Annual Miniature Show, April 30 to June 8, at the BAC Gallery. A reception on Saturday, May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. with wine and refreshments. There will be entries from artists in N. Nevada and surrounding area. Miniatures are limited to no larger than 35 sq. in. for the imiage with many smaller than that. It is a judged show. Awards will be given the night of the reception. Join us and meet the artists. For information call 882-6411.

 

The Nevada Artists Association embraces both beginning and accomplished artists. Our goal is to promote the visual arts and Nevada artists through the exhibit and sale of artwork and high quality crafts at our Brewery Arts Center Gallery.

 

NAA offers its members the fellowship of other artists and art lovers. NAA’s monthly meetings are open to the public and feature quest artists who demonstrate and instruct in a variety of media and techniques. Their attractive gallery features a dynamic schedule of nine shows a year. Three of these are judged shows with cash awards and ribbons. Members from beginner to professional can show their work in any of these shows. No one is juried out except those pieces that are in poor taste. NAA looks forward to seeing you in our gallery soon.

NAA will feature it’s “Members Only Summer Show,” at the BAC Gallery from June 11 to July 27. This show will be judged by subject, e.c. Landscapes, Still Life. Portraits, etc. Reception for the public and artists will June 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. Wine and refrestments will be served. Area artists can join NAA and enter this show. New members are welcome. LANDSCAPE SHOW

 

The NAA members who participate in this show choose one photo from those submitted by NAA photographers. They paint their rendition of the chosen photograph using artistic license. This means they can rearrange, insert, exclude, alter color, and other possibilities to formulate their creation. The show is at the BAC Gallery, July 30 to Sept.7. Reception, August 4, 6 to 8 p.m. with wine and refreshments. For information call 882-6411.

 

65th ANNUAL NEVADA DAY SHOW

 

This show, which is the highlight of the Nevada Artits Associations shows, will be open to the public from October 22 to Dec.7. at the BAC Gallery. This is a judged show where artists bring out their best work. This is the only show NAA has that is open to non-members. The reception will be on October 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. with wine and refreshments. For information call 882-6411.
