Have Camera Will Travel

Do you have photos of distant lands you have visited? Would you like to share your exciting trip with your family and perhaps television viewers? Make a video using your still photos and your voice describing where you went and what fun you had, include your friends. A final DVD will be yours for posterity.

Tuition: $100 ($90 for members)
Mondays 6-8 pm (5 classes)

Family, Gathering~Make a Memory DVD

Gather photos, news clippings and more to create this loving gift of memories. Invite your Grandma (or Grandpa or Uncle George) to a casual interview by you where you ask them questions about their past. Get the final story on DVD in a couple weeks with titles. An additional fee of $25/hour for the final edit of your story, average is 1 hour.

Tuition: $80 ($70 for members)

3D Claymation

Learn the skill of Stop Motion with clay figures.
5 sessions include storyboarding, sculpting, shooting and editing.
Create a cute animation with other students.
Tuition: $100 ($90 for members)

Homeschool Series
A series of classes designed for those students who can come during the day during the week.

The Filmmaking Classes below are designed so that students can pick and choose the subjects they are most interested in: screen writing, directing, camera operating, acting and technical. All these aspects of filmmaking will be combined into a week long scheduled shoot as per actors and locations needed. Editing class will use the scripts and footage shot during the previous week.

Filmmaking Class One- Writing a Script (Ages 10-16)

Make a short film, Start by writing the script.

Tuition: $80 ($70) for BAC/NNFF members)
Fridays 11:00 am- 1:00 pm 4 weeks

Minimum 3 students.

 

Filmmaking Class Two- Camera Use (Ages 10-16)

Make a short film, Learn in one class how to operate the digital video cameras. White balance to audio.

Tuition: $20 ($20, sorry no discount for BAC/NNFF members)

Filmmaking Class Three- Acting for Camera (Ages 10-16)

Make a short film, Learn how the camera sees you. How much emotion you need to show and where to look. These are different skills than stage acting.
Tuition: $45 ($40) for BAC/NNFF members)

Filmmaking Class Four- Clappers, Costumes and Props (Ages 10-16)

Make a short film, Make your own clapper, discover costuming techniques and prep all for upcoming filming.

Filmmaking Class Five- Learn to Direct! (Ages 10-16)

Make a short film It’s not enough to just hand your actors the script. They need to be told where to stand, what reactions they should give and the way they should speak a line. If you are going to direct you must take this class. You must take “Lights! Camera! Action! Class and be available to direct during the week of May 28-June 1 Mon-Fri as needed.

Filmmaking Class Six- Casting Call! (Ages 10-16)

Make a short film, So you want to be in a film? We have the scripts and the directors all lined up. Time to cast the film! You must take “Lights! Camera! Action! Class and be available to act during the week of May 28-June 1, Mon-Fri as needed.

Filmmaking Class Seven- Lights! Cameras! Action! (Ages 10-16)

Make a short film, this is it! We have the scripts, the actors, directors and cameramen have been trained, costumes and props are ready!

Tuition: $100 ($90) for BAC/NNFF members)
M-F 10-3 (once cast a schedule will be worked up, each student will be utilized a minimum of 9 hours, but most will not be needed the entire time)
May 28-June 1

Filmmaking Class Eight- Editing and Post Production (Ages 10-16)

Make a short film, We’ve got the footage. Now learn how to complete the picture. Editing skills will be taught as you go on Final Cut Pro!

Tuition: $120 ($100) for BAC/NNFF members)
Tuesday and Thursdays 11-1 or by appointment

Filmmaking Not A Class-The Red Carpet (Ages 10-16)

We’ve MADE as short film! Or two or three! Now we roll out the red carpet and celebrate!

Tuition: FREE to all, invite friends, family, neighbors, your doctor!
