Painting: Acrylic, Oil and Watercolor (adults)
Students will work on their own projects and the instructor will help them complete their painting from start to finish. Students may choose which medium they want to work in (oil, watercolor, or acrylic). Students will supply their own materials. Morning or afternoon sessions are available.

Oil Painting (adults)
Oil painting instruction of any subject matter, any skill level in a friendly supportive and creative atmosphere. Morning or afternoon sessions are available.

Contemporary Watercolor/Acrylic Painting (all levels)
While the class will be informative, educational and fun, it will also provide a creative environment for the student to think, analyze and personally challenge one to go beyond simply painting pictures. A broad range of subject matter will be employed with teaching geared to individual skill levels. Pay teacher at time of class. ($60 one time materials fee paid to instructor)

Pastel Painting (adults)
Instruction in the use and application of pastel medium along with general art principles.

Drawing
Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA’s)
This workshop is for those students who have already learned the basics of traditional Zentangle and want to take it in another direction. We will incorporate traditional Zentangle tangles with elements of design and color to create 2 greeting cards. Plus, you will learn 4 new tangles! Bring your mini kit from Zentangle and any coloring materials you may have, i.e. colored pencils, gel pens, glaze pens, etc. The instructor will provide additional materials for you to borrow. Prerequisite: “Zentangle 101” and “Advanced Zentangle.”
Tuition: $25. Pay $3 in class to instructor for materials.

Kid’s Drawing & Painting
After School Art (ages 6-13) Session II
Students receive introduction in drawing and painting in various mediums. Small class size will ensure that each student will receive individualized attention geared towards his or her ability level. All materials are included in tuition.
Tuition: $105 ($95 BAC Members)
Wednesdays June 6th – July 18th (no class July 4th)

Printmaking
Reduction Linocut Printmaking
One block will be used to create and print an edition of prints. A portion of the block is carved away and one color is printed. This process is repeated, carving and printing the same block, developing the image with layers of transparent, light, medium and dark values. An introduction to printmaking is suggested for this class, but not required. Students need to bring a simple 5” x 7” sketch to carve and print.

Beginning Japanese Water-Base Woodcut
Moku-hanga is traditional Japanese woodblock printing. Carol will teach this hands-on process with traditional Japanese carving tools, brushes and washi papers. A brief history will be reviewed before students carve three wood blocks the first class. The second class will be devoted to printing the carved wood blocks and layering the colors from light to dark as you print. Students will learn kento registration and how to print with water colors, rice paste and a baren. This process is safe for the artist and the environment. Open to all levels.
