They are listed below by the day of the week the class is held. Although that is subject to change due to interested students.


Creative Movement and Character (ages 3-7 years)

Young artists will become an active participant in a story and/or dance and learn how to create and express character from their own talents while learning new skills and techniques. Children become more confident, improve their ability to communicate; building self-image & increased leadership skills while learning in a safe and respectful environment. (An open house presentation will be held on the last day of class in December) BAC MHJ Theater.

Acting (ages 8 – 18)

Students will share in fun and engaging theatrical games, techniques and exercises to enhance creativity, self-confidence & poise while learning elements for the stage. Group and solo participation in story telling, pantomime, and script work for performance. (An open house presentation will be held on the last day of class in December) BAC MHJ Theater.

Ballroom Dance Styles- (All ages-no partner necessary)

Students learn fundamental skills in the various dance styles. An introductory class to ballroom dance designed as a fun introduction to ballroom dance in various styles, including but not limited to, Waltz, Tango, Swing, Foxtrot, Salsa and Cha-Cha. 3D with Blender (ages 10 – adult)

3D with Blender-Using online tutorials, Luke will help you to understand and utilize “Blender” to create fantastic 3D animations. Software available FREE online for both PC or MAC,

Beginning/Intermediate Wheelthrowing Class

Join Potter Sharon Randall for six weeks of clay experience, beginning or intermediate instruction. Beginners create your favorite cup or bowl, or intermediates try your hand at a lidded vessel, altered bowl, or tea pot. Students will learn how to throw basic elements on the wheel, trim and glaze them with various techniques. More advanced students can try various altering forms and waxing/glazing techniques. Class includes all materials; clay, glazing and firing.

Beginning Drawing (ages 15-adult)

Will teach the basics for anyone wanting to learn how to draw. Students will learn about the different drawing tools as well as the basics of shape, shading, perspective, and composition. Students will need to pay a one-time materials fee of $20 to the instructor at the first class. BAC art class room.

Intermediate/Advanced Drawing (ages 15-adult)

Will meet once a week to improve drawing, shading, and composition skills with a variety of subject matter, from still life to the trees and buildings outside of the classroom and much more. While there is guidance and support, the curriculum will be modified for individual student’s needs. A basic understanding of drawing is required. Students without drawing supplies can purchase a basic set of materials from the instructor for $20 on the first day of class. BAC art classroom.

Pencil Drawing for Teens

We will meet once a week learn and improve drawing, shading, and composition skills with a variety of subject matter, focusing on manga, super heroes, and true to life subjects that will help improve illustrating and visual art skills all around. Students will need to pay a one-time materials fee of $20 to the instructor at the first class. BAC art classroom.

Pottery Open Studio: Evenings (ages 16-adult)

Open Studio is for experienced students who have previously enrolled in at least one beginning pottery class and who want to use the studio for independent projects and skill development. An instructor is present to assist and answer questions, but no formal instruction or assignments will be given. Raku firings are scheduled when there is sufficient interest. Glazes and firing are included in tuition. Students must purchase their own clay.

Using the ACCtv Studio (ages 12 – adult)

Using the ACCtv Studio -This comprehensive class includes camera and tripod training, storyboarding, audio set up, lighting, shooting indoors and out, editing and DVD authoring. A small piece for television will be created by the participants. This class certifies you to check out public access equipment for use in creating public access television material.

Anatomy Sculpting (ages 15 – adult)

Learn how sculpt the human figure from clay using easy geometric shapes and blending techniques. A $20 supply fee is due to the instructor the first day of class. BAC art classroom.

Children’s Creative Illustration/Drawing Class (ages 8 and up)

Learn creative drawing using your imagination. Develop your skills to help bring your dreams to paper. A $10 supply fee is due to the instructor the first day of class. BAC art classroom.

Beginning Adult Pottery – Session I

Join pottery instructor, Kym Maehl, for a four week introduction adventure in clay! Students will receive an introduction to clay from hand-building and throwing on the potter’s wheel, to glazing and underglaze. Really creative and lots of fun! Tuition includes supplies and tools. BAC Pottery Studio.

Class Voice (ages 6-18)

Students will learn basics of solo and group singing, reading music, harmony, and vocal styling. Can be split into more than one section depending on enrollment. Class will culminate in a recital performance for parents and families.

Sculpting and Casting

Create sculptures featuring your choice of animals, landscapes, or people using a four step process with easy geometric shapes, texture and blending. The latter portion of class introduces mold making used to create many different kinds of three-dimensional media from plaster to bronze. This procedure is great for making multiple handmade decorations and gifts. Featured on PBS. $20 supplies fee to be paid to instructor. Call 775-883-1976 to be included on class list.

Me and Mommy (or Daddy) Teapot Class

This is a great way to spend quality, creative and fabulously fun time with your kid/s! In this one-day class both adult and child will create a unique and delightful hand-built teapot! Really! Techniques will include pinch pots, coils, slab roll and underglaze! Each adult may bring up to three children ages 7-15. ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED. (Class limited to 10 children.) Tuition: $50 per adult and one child, and $25 per additional child &/or adult (just in case both Mom and Dad want to come.)

2D Claymation for Adults (ages 16 – adult)

2D Claymation for Adults -This 6 hour course takes you through the storyboard process, clay character creation, stop motion shooting, loading into the computer, editing and the addition of music and titles. We’ll stop for an hour to have lunch at a local cafe.

Tuition: $60 ($50 for Members)
Saturday 10am-5pm (one hour break for lunch)

Intro to Musical Theatre Dance

Students will study the basics of Musical Theatre dance including elements of Jazz, Ballet, Modern, etc., healthy fitness and nutrition habits, classic musical theatre history and styles, and learning choreography. Class will culminate in a recital performance for parents and families.
